1. Manages the accounts of the MLGRD in accordance with the provisions of the Financial guidelines Acts 2003, and other relevant government financial guidelines
2. Develops appropriate guidelines for the management of the finances of the Ministry

iii.              Provides regular feedback to the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development and the Chief Director, as well as the Controller and Accountant General Department on the accounts of the Ministry.
